Galicia also joins the assistance for buying an electric bike

The Xunta de Galicia is committed to reducing carbon emissions to the environment and, therefore, offers various aids for those interested in acquiring an electric bike.

These aids are structured as follows: the Xunta will cover up to 50% of the purchase price of the bicycle if its value is less than 500 euros. However, this percentage will increase to 60% for large families and up to 70% for large families with special category.

Therefore, if you belong to a large family, you will receive a 50% refund of the bicycle price, with a maximum of 600 euros. While if you belong to a large family with a special category, the limit will be €700.

Discover the subsidies for buying electric bikes in Santander

The Santander City Council has approved the third call for assistance for the purchase of electric bikes, endowed with €54,300 with the aim of encouraging the use of the bicycle as a sustainable, affordable, clean, and healthy means of transport.

Aid of €350 will be granted, aimed at people over 18 years old registered in Santander, at least 6 months before the publication of the call.

Among the requirements is the need to make the purchase in a local establishment and that the price of the bicycle does not exceed €1,500.

The rules also include that the acquired bicycles cannot be transferred to a third party within two years, and the beneficiary must communicate to the City Council the frame number, battery series, and engine series, as well as register it in the BiciRegistro.

The Valencian Community also offers subsidies for freelancers and SMEs who are interested in acquiring an electric bicycle.
